My 46th Birthday

I turned 46 and had a few little celebrations. On the 4th, I had a little gathering at Community Wine Bar. We had charcuterie and wine outside in the heated tent. It was nice. I’m terrible with photos when I’m in charge of the event, so this is all I got.

After the friend gathering, Steve took me to Pizzeria Stellina in Sellwood, where we had pizza, wine, and affogato. We’ve been there a few times now, and everything is great. It’s a newer spot that is known for its unique pizza dough. The pizza dough is slow fermented and charred. The toppings are a mix of classic, unique, and seasonal. The salads are oustanding as well. They have a great selection of wines. And of course, the affogato is to die for.

On my actual birthday, my kids to me out to eat dinner at Stammtisch, a German restaurant in SE Portland. I had some Dr. Loosen Sparkling Riesling. We ate soft pretzels with beer cheese soup and slow roasted pork and rabbit with spaetzle and cabbage.
